Youth Exchange "Sports Xchange" is held in Zagreb, January 3 - 11.

Two countries have partnered up for the sake of this project - the Czech Republic and Croatia. Each country is bringing in a group of 30 young individuals, mostly between 13 - 18 years of age, both boys and girls.

The aim of the project is mutual education of young people based on active participation in sports and volunteering in sports organizations. The focus is not only on development of sport skills, but also raising awareness of healthy lifestyle among young people.

Workshops are an important part of the event. The lecturers from both countries want to help the participants improve their softball skills and teamwork, teach them to ignore bias and prejudice, while gaining respect for others and their opinions. One of the goals is also to try out and learn various forms of creative expression.

This project will also provide an opportunity for the young athletes to extensively use a foreign language, so they can learn more about people from other cultures, as well as about themselves.

This event is not only about softball training - there's so much more. You can take a sneak peek through some of the Xchange videos.
