January 14, 2021 marks a historic date for Italian softball: six athletes entered the Army Sports Group.

Ilaria Cacciamani, Elisa Cecchetti, Marta Gasparotto, Giulia Longhi, Erika Piancastelli, and Laura Vigna were welcomed at the Cecchignola Army Sports Center in Rome, Italy.

The six athletes will have the possibility to continue their sports career with the support of the Italian Army Sports Group, focusing on Tokyo 2021.

The Italian softball National Team is continuing the preparation for the Summer Olympic Games in a training camp next week. January 21 to 30, Head Coach Obletter will work with a group of twenty-two Italian athletes.
