Defined the Top 8 squads of the Women's European Softball Championship
Pool A: Undefeated Team Italy (4-0) kicked off the day with a 27-0 mercy-rule victory over winless Bulgaria (0-3) in Cervignano and sent Hungary (0-3) to the bottom of the standings after a mercy-rule 19-0 shutout under the lights in Ronchi dei Legionari. Russia (3-1) took sole possession of second place with a 11-0 shutout over Poland (2-2) in Ronchi dei Legionari.
Pool B: Kingdom of the Netherlands (3-0) remained on top with a 16-0 shutout over winless Lithuania (0-3) in Cervignano. Germany (2-1) battled Austria (1-2) for second place and found success in Castions delle Mura with a 7-3 victory.
Pool C: Undefeated Israel (3-0) defeated winless Denmark (0-3) by a score of 13-3 in Ronchi dei Legionari. Czech Republic (2-1) protected its second-place standing with an 8-0 shutout over Croatia (1-2) in Castions delle Mura.
Pool D: Leader Spain (3-0) beat Ukraine (1-2) by a score of 4-1 in Cervignano, while France (2-1) delivered a 13-0 shutout to Slovakia (0-3) in Ronchi dei Legionari.
Italy, Russia, Kingdom of Netherlands, Germany, Israel, Czech Republic, Spain and France are the Top 8 squads of the Women's Softball European Championship 2021.
