Princ (Croatia) looking for two players/coaches for one year - all expenses covered!
Volunteers (age 18-30) wanted for a year - everything payed!
We are looking for volunteers from Europe - players / coaches (18 - 30 years old) that would like to play in a team, and work in a club in Zagreb for one year. We are looking for two volunteers from 2 different countries, and our club would pay for all expenses, and they would even have some pocket money. Project would start in September / October 2017.
Softball Klub Princ Zagreb
Softball Club Princ is a successful softball club from Zagreb, Croatia. For 20 years we are Croatian Champions, winners of Cup, we are on European Cups from 1997. Each year we have a lot of events that we organize: two international tournaments (Forever Fastpitch and Ball Game), Summer Camp for kids from Zagreb. We are the organizers of Euroleague, and we play at least 3 tournaments in the Region. Our club has around 70 players, we play in all categories in championships, and with U13&U11 we play baseball little league, too. You can see more info on our website or Facebook.
What is EVS?
European Voluntary Service is an Erasmus+ program activity that offers a chance to all young people aged 17 to 30 to volunteer in a foreign country within or outside the EU. In this way, it seeks to develop solidarity, mutual understanding and tolerance among young people, thus contributing to reinforce social cohesion in the European Union and promote young people’s active citizenship. European Voluntary Service is a unique opportunity to experience life abroad, learn and gain experience in various areas. It is a learning service, therefore the volunteers not only benefit the local communities but can develop new skills and improve their personal, education and professional development.
How does it work?
Long-term EVS usually takes 2 up to 12 months, short-term EVS from 2 weeks to 2 months. People interested in EVS choose the organisation individually, based on their interests. The projects includes wide range of topics, such as cultural, social or ecological activities, work with youth, sports, cultural heritage, arts and many more.
How much does it cost?
EVS is completely free of charge for the volunteers. All expenses for the food, accommodation, insurance, travel costs and visa are covered. You also receive a pocket money and are provided with a language course of the language in the hosting country.
Summary of the project
Project will be implemented in Zagreb by Softball Club Princ Zagreb. Activity would last for 12 months. It involves two volunteers. Objectives are to promote active and sport life, intercultural dialog among youth. Main objectivity is a promotion of Sport as a tool to have an active and healthy life. The project is focused on the following subjects: a healthy lifestyle, health & well being, youth. Through the activities planned, the project will support solving the problem of digital era where kids play games on computers, and don't participate in sports or active life. Volunteers will participate in all club activities: Summer and spring camps, practices, workshops, games, presentations, non-formal activities etc.
