Nine new umpires obtained their ESF lincense
The ESF fastpitch basic clinic was held in Prague from Wednesday May 24 until Sunday May 28.
Eleven participants from countries all over Europe were present and have been working hard to gain an ESF umpire license. Rule knowledge and mechanics were discussed during lively classroom sessions. On field practice was held on the Radotin softball field.
The most exciting and interesting part of the clinic was the men’s tournament of U13, U16 and U19 at Joudrs on Friday and Saturday where the umpires worked the games. It was a great tournament with excellent softball on all levels. The umpires were all evaluated during these games, a very important part of the testing process. The clinic ended with a written rule test.
Nine umpires successfully passed the clinic and it was a happy moment to present them with their ESF license (see photo).
